You may qualify for a discount payment and charity care. If eligible, the hospital has programs to assist uninsured and/or low-income patients with payment of hospital bills.

Hospital Bill Complaint Program

If you believe you were wrongly denied financial assistance, you may file a complaint with the State of California’s Hospital Bill Complaint Program. Go to HospitalBillComplaintProgram.hcai.ca.gov. for more information and to file a complaint.

Eligibility Requirements

River Vista uses the 2025 Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG) gross annual or monthly income to determine eligibility for charity discount based on family size for California. To receive discounts and payment plans, or to apply for other financial aid programs, you will need to fill out an application and meet certain requirements.
